But we still have old UI in excel. Does anyone know which version of Excel do we need?

The bit version of Excel you are using seems to be 32 bit, but isn't Power BI Desktop using the 64 bit version?
It is better to use the same bit version of Power BI Desktop and Excel.

But I think this problem is not connected to PBI Desktop.

We connect Excel to PBI Service datasets - live connection.
