I am unable to connect to power bi datasets

Hi All,

I am using Windows 7 enterprise. I installed latest version of Power BI desktop

Yet i am unable to connect to Power BI datasets, i am getting the below error

@Anonymous  this sounds strange ....have you tried connecting to any other dataset to check whether the dataset you are trying to use is having some issue ?

If Yes and the issue is still happening i would recommend raise a support ticket:

I Tried connect to different models also

Hi @Anonymous ,

1. Please check if the signed in Power BI account in Power BI desktop does have build permission to access the required dataset. 

2. Please check if you hit any limitation listed here.

But I did checked everything like Account that logged in, build permission or other limitations.

I did found a workaround

connecting to power bi dataset via analysis service by providing connecting string (using permium workspace)
