How to use a date slicer to filter constant lines and page, but not the chart columns

Hi all,

I have tried researching this online and have had little luck. 

I have a slicer panel on my page which includes a 'Between' date slicer. This is used to filter everything on my page except for a column chart I use to visualise 'Crimes by Month'.

I wish to have a 'Start Date' and 'End Date' constant line on my column chart to let the user know the date range they have selected. However, I am facing the issue where if I enable the Filter Interaction between my date slicer and the column chart, the date range of the columns is affected as well as the constant lines. I only want the constant lines to be dynamically filtered.

I tried using a disconnectec calendar table for my date slicer and constant lines, but that presents the issue where my date slicer no longer filters every other visual in the report.

I feel like there is something really obvious I am missing here to get this to work how I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create explicit measures for your desired values based on the filters on your disconnected table.
