How to use a Slicer to hide table or entire table columns?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to make table visual that is able to show monthly health information for several services. The underlying excel sheets will contain two months of data. I want to find a way to display only the selected month's (current or previous) information columns. I'd like to either use a slicer to either enable/disable the relevant columns or use two tables, with one being hidden by the use of a slicer. The slicer will be labeled "Previous Month" and "Current Month".

I would like the table views to look like this.

|Service | Health Col 1 (Current Month)| Health Col 2 (Current Month)| | Health Col 3 (Current Month)|
|Burgers| Good                                      | Bad                                           | Great                                              |
|Fries     | Good                                      | Bad                                           | Great                                              |

|Service | Health Col 1 (Previous Month)| Health Col 2 (Previous Month)| | Health Column 3 (Previous Month)|
|Burgers| Good                                        | Bad                                            | Great                                              |
|Fries     | Good                                        | Bad                                            | Great                                              |

What would be the best way of achieving this? Thank you!

Hi Parry,

Thank you for the response. I gave it a try, but my version of Power BI doesn't have an ellipses next to the word Color under Background. Is there any other workaround to do what I need?

@Anonymous any reason you cannot upgrade your version to most recent one (July 2019)?
