Hello,
I am new to the use of API keys in power bi. I want to experiment with text analytics using power bi. I have read the following tutorial:
http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Sentiment-Analysis-in-Power-BI/ba-p/55898
Because my text is in the dutch language and dutch is not supported this didn't work for me. I found the following website:
http://ai-applied.nl/text-analysis-api/
and obtained a API key with 5000 free credits. Now I am lost how to use this API in power bi to use it on the database I have, i searched for tutorials but couldn't find one...
I hope you can help me with this question, maybe you have some good tutorials I can use.
Thanks!
Kind regards,
Tiemen
Hi @Anonymous,
Could you please explain a bit for what part that didn’t support dutch language?
In addition, I checked the blog and the website you have shared, and based on what I currently understand, you would like to take use of Power BI Advanced Editor to load the website results, right?
For how to use the website API, they have documentation explaining it:
Please check:
Text Analysis API Documentation
The website where you request the API key would return a json file when get the call, for Power BI to get that file, just click Get data->Web, then copy and paste the calling URL.
Or download the JSON file and then import it into Power BI.
Common query tasks in Power BI Desktop
Also take a look at the thread below, see if it would help here:
how to import website data including additional table pages under the same web address
If any further help needed, please feel free to post back.

Thank you @v-caliao-msft!
The API from Microsoft doesn't support Dutch.
Indeed, I want to use the advanced editor.
What i want to do is this: I have a Excel database that contains a lot of written customer feedback. It is too much to analyse by hand. I want to ad an sentiment score to the text using the API from AI Applied and use Power BI to make a dashboard out of it.
I also want to use the API to ad an sentiment score to twitter and facebook messages regarding our company.
I hope this explanation makes my case a little clearer for you 🙂
Maybe you have some extra tips for me, in the meanwhile i go on using your feedback :).
Thanks again for your help!!
