How to successfully use protected .pbix files in Power BI Desktop?

Power BI team has just announced the public preview of Microsoft Information Protection sensitivity labels in Power BI Desktop.

One of the scenarios in which sensitivity labels can be used is when applying protection to a .pbix file to encrypt it.

To make sure that encrypted files can be successfully used by you in Power BI Desktop, be sure that:

  1. The Power BI Desktop version you're running is December 2020 or later.
  2. You've enabled the Information protection preview feature in Power BI Desktop.
Go to File > Options and settings > Options > Preview features, and check the box next to Information protection.

Is this actually working? I don't even have this option there... November/2024 build.
