How to show only those dates where all measures make sense?

I have a line and bar combined chart, and the bars are for the full timeline, however the lines are restricted to a shorter period of time. If I add everything to the chart, it is drawn for the full date range, but I only want to show that part where the measures make sense. So instead of this:

Current situationCurrent situation

I want this:

Desired outputDesired output

And of course I would need this to be dynamic, as the range where the measures return a value is affected by a slicer.

If I would only use the measures (lines), then I can set that only show values where they are not blank, but it is immediately ruined when the columns are added.

Hi @Anonymous,

Could you please share us your pbix file with One Drive or Google Drive if possible? So that we can dig deeper and make some proper tests.

Thanks,
Xi Jin.
