How to set up different Data connections

At our organisation we already use a SQL server database with different scheme's, which is accessed by our SAS environment.

Within our SQL database we have already created different users like (Finance_01, Finance_02).

Within SAS we have grouped users X01, X02, X03 in a group which has the right to use user Finance_01.

Is something similar possible within PowerBI Desktop? Or do they need their account X01 on the database?

You can get security groups created in Active Directory you can use those instead of individual users. This actually works well in many organizations as people raise a help desk ticket requesting access to specific report areas and our help desk people just have to add them to an AD group,
