Hi Experts
I have a PBI report with 5 different tabs. All my managers have access to it with the same RLS. I want to create another report/tab and want to give permission for only 1 manager. Please can someone let me know how to achieve this please.
Thanks
Mahad
Hi @Anonymous ,
According to your description, you can achieve this by configuring dynamic rls.
[User] = Userprincipalname()
The key step is: under the "Modeling" tab, the "View as Role" icon. Click on this icon and we will get a new window.
We have to select both the other user and the newly created role. Then enter a user's email ID in the text box near the "Other Users" text.
Publish it to the service and configure this rls.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.
Best Regards,
Henry

@Anonymous , if You want dynamic page navigation with RLS -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrEDZZXiit8
Hi Amit,
We already have several reports in place with RLS set up. I have designed a additional tab do display information about only selective vendors one of the manager interested in but it should be accessable only to him not others who have similar role as him.
I have gone through the videos and created a table and maintained just that managers email id in it. But even the other managers could view it after uploading it which is due to they have similar access of him.
Any other alternative solution please.
Thanks
Mahad
