How to remplace values in a table with a reference table

Hello everybody , 

I have two tables ( the images below ) and I want to replace the values " S" , "T" ... in table 1 with what it represent in Table 2 . 

For example if i have "T" in table 1 and its value is 1 in Table 2 , I want to have 1 as a result in table 1 . Thanks

there is no S in the second table

consider that S is there and it value is 0 , how can i do it ? Thanks
