Hello,
We have a report (PBIX file) that imports data from a number of SQL Server tables. We publish this report to a workspace to be used by company users.
We want to check in this report into our source control system, but we don't want to check it in with data.
We are looking for the following development workflow:
- A developer gets PBIX file from the source control
- The data is refreshed from SQL Server
- Changes are made and the report is published to app.powerbi.com
- All data is purged from the PBIX file (<<<= HOW TO DO THAT?)
- The PBIX file is checked into the source control
Is there a PowerShell solution, or some kind of scripting or manual solution to purge data from a report?
Thanks
Evgueni

@etsygankov the easiest should be when the file is published, just save the pbix file as a template which will remove all the data and then store that in the repository.
I would ❤ Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos to whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!
