How to put a dynamic parameter on the visualization page.

We have a requirement where in we have to display estimated revenue for opportunities for all the months in a year on x and y axis.

And we have multiple years and should have a parameter to select the year on the page. we have kept the parameter and when we save and publish the report as template when we open that in desktop it is asking to select a value before loading the data.

However our requirement is that we have to put the parameter for year on the visualization page as a dropdown with some predefined values so that  customer can select the year and data should be shown for that year.

Ask: How to put the dynamic parameter on the visualization page.

We are using this power BI report in our Dynamics 365 dashboard.

Adding a Parameter and togelling them will only work on Desktop.

My reommendation would be to include data for all the years in the report and then use Scliers to filter them.

Hi @chaitanya,

To my knowledge, you create query parameter and list the predefined values in the list(highlighted in red line in the screenshot below).

Then save it as a template, when other people use and open it, it will be required by typing a value. More details, please review this article: Deep Dive into Query Parameters and Power BI Templates.
