Hi experts,
I am looking to fetch date slicer values (the lowest and the highest) ignoring whatever dates are selected in other visuals (i.e. table visual). How can I do this? One way to do this is by editing interactions. But I can not do it because I need some other filter values from that table visual.

Hi @gvg,
If you use it in the same table, you can try a formula like this:
Measure = CALCULATE ( [your old measure], ALLSELECTED ( 'Date'[Date].[Month] ) )
If you use it in another visual, you can try a formula like this:
Measure = CALCULATE ( [your old measure], ALLEXCEPT ( 'Date', 'Date'[Date].[Month] ) )
Pay attention to the blue part. If you need further help, please post a sample.
Best Regards!

Going to depend, perhaps using ALLEXCEPT but not clear what you are trying to do.
Let us say, I have months 5,6 and 7 selected in a date slicer. Now in the table visual user selects a row, in which there is customer name and sales date="2017-05-13". In the newest Power BI version selection in a table visual alters the current filter. In this case date filter becomes 2017-05-13. However I still need to sum sales by months 5,6 and 7 that are selected in dates slicer. So I am looking for a way to fetch values selected in the dates slicer ignoring whatever date filter is set by other visuals.
Hi @gvg
Why don't you try ...
1.- Select the visual you don't want to filter the months 5,6,7 sum value with ... This should be, if I understood well, the table visual
2.- Click Format
3.- Click Edit interactions
4. Select in the visual with the month 5,6,7 sum value the ''forbid icon'' (or a circle with a diagonal line in it).
5.- Do that for any other visual.
6.- Click again Edit interactions

Thank you all for your ideas. It looks like with the September PBI update the new drillthrough feature helps to simplify my task.
