How to move a report / dataset to another workspace in Power BI Service.

Hello,

I would like to move few reports  and associated datasets from let's say workspace A to workspace B.

Does someone know how to do that in Power BI Portal.

The nearest feature is to create an app and share it. 

There is a workaround about using REST API and Power Shell to migrate workspace, for more details, please refer to:

Hi @Anonymous 

If you have the report .pbix file(published to workspace A), all you just have to do will be to republish it to workspace B.

If you don't have the .pbix file, simply go to the report in workspace A. File > Download the report (.pbix copy) from Power bi service to your desktop.

Then go the workspace B, Get data > Files >Local File > Open the downloaded file to have the report and dataset published to workspace B.

It'll not work if you don't have the .pbix and can't download it (either for being of long type kind or for being partitioned).

It seems the only way is to use an external tool like Power Bi Helper - https://powerbihelper.org/ - at your own risk.

Update: it also seems to be possible using a Power Shell script: https://blog.drbi.com.br/blog/duplicando-areas-de-trabalho-usando-cmdlets-do-power-bi/ and https://github.com/Microsoft/powerbi-powershell/blob/master/examples/CopyWorkspaceSampleScript.ps1.
