Hi all,
I have a complete basic report build in regular Power BI Desktop (current version Aug 2023) with a lot of tables and data. Now I want to save this report locally on a Power BI Report Server. So my idea was to open this report with Power BI Desktop (for RS) (version May 2023) and save it on the Power BI Report Server.
Unfortunately it is not possible to open the report in Power BI Desktop RS because of compatibility issues. So I am now challenged to migrate the whole report (especially the dataset: Tables, imported Data and measures) since I haven't used one of the fancy new features of Power BI Desktop to a new empty pbix-file opened in Power BI Desktop RS.
Is there an efficient way to do this?
Thanks for your help and best regards!
@Flo1 , Not pretty sure, but check if the ALM toolkit or tabular editor can help.
In case of tabular editor you can convert the model in a different format file and use that again for RS Desktop
