Hi everyone.I am new to Power BI and need help with improving the Direct Query performance. The data is almost 2GB.Please suggest ways to improve performance. Thanks in advance.
Hi @Anonymous ,
The working principle of DQ is that the PBI sends query requests to SQL, and SQL returns the results to PBI.
On the one hand, you could optimize network transmission efficiency, on the other hand, you could to optimize SQL query efficiency.

Hi @Anonymous ,
How are you usign the data from SQL, directly using the tables or did you create any view from tables and using that as a source. First check how much time it is taking to retrieve data in sql only. it should be less then automatically your BI performance will improve.
