How to get log of changes made in a power bi file

Is there a way to get a log of changes that had happened to a pbi file either in pbi service or locally?

ie. any method to identify what changes had happened?

Hi @Antmkjr ,

On Power BI Desktop, go to File>Option and Settings>Options>Diagnostics>Enable tracing > Open traces folder, then you will find the Power BI log files.

Hi,

The log file record all changes done by Power BI Desktop. But various .pbix files may have been changed, how could we know what changes have been made to a specific .pbix file?

@Antmkjr  Hey ,
You can try this mentioned option to see the changes made by developer in perticulor PBI table .

Pbix files don't play well with normal version control like git unfortunately.

In terms of data model changes you could try ALM Toolkit to compare two files.

I did see this in a blog post but haven't tried it:
