Helper VHow to get drilldown or drillthrough the data

You can do this in Power BI with the Drillthrough feature. Here’s how it works step-by-step:
1. Create a summary chart
- Build a column chart on your main page with Year >> Month >> Bug_Type as the hierarchy on the X-axis.
- Use a measure like:
- Bug Count = COUNTROWS(Bugs)
so you get counts of bugs per month/type.
2. Create a Drillthrough page
- Add a new page and rename it (e.g. Bug Detail).
- Insert a Table visual with fields like WorkItemID, SnapDate, Bug_Type, Severity, State, Priority.
- In the Visualizations pane, go to Drillthrough filters and drag in the fields you want to pass from the chart (for example Month, Year, or even Bug_Type).
- Turn ON Keep all filters.
- Add a Back button (Insert >> Buttons >> Back) so users can navigate back.
3. Test the Drillthrough
- On the main chart page, right-click any bar (e.g. March - Active3).
- Select Drillthrough >> Bug Detail.
- This takes you to the Drillthrough page and shows only the detailed bug rows for that month/type.
End result:
- Page 1 = summary chart (bug counts).
- Page 2 = detail table (only the filtered rows from your selection).
This is why, in my screenshot, when I clicked March >> Active3, the second page showed only those 3 bug records.

Can we have table open in the same page instead going to other page or is there any alternate method to make it more interactive.

Hi manojk_pbi,
When you click a bar in the visual, the table can display detailed data dynamically on the same page through visual interactions.
Alternatively, Report Page Tooltips can provide extra context when you hover, though this isn't as interactive as a full table.
Drillthrough always takes you to another page and is best used when you need a dedicated detail page.Create report tooltip pages in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
