How to generate forecasts in newer (Jan 2024+) PBI desktop versions?

Previously for line charts you used to be able to do forecasts using the analytics pane, which is deprecated since January 2024 to my kowledge. So how can I do this in newer versions? I have time series data with date/time fields, more than sufficient data points 162k rows, and 3 numeric metrics I'm visualising - two on primary Y axis and one on secondary Y axis. I only need forecast for one of those three lines. If its possible to forecast all three, even better. Thank you.

My issue was that my x-axis was categorical instead of continuous. I did that to enable scrolling when drilling down on x axis. But that took away forecasting capability. When I reset axis setting and reverted back to "continuous", I had the forecast option available again.

@Ritaf1983 in the future please refrain from marking your answers as solution yourself when I haven't agreed to it. It's my post. I get to decide what proposed solution worked for me or not. I apologize if this sounds rude, I absolutely do not intend that. I've just deal with this type of incidents in the past quite a few times hence my indignation. Thank you very much.

P.S. If you didn't mark your answer as a solution, then again, I apologize. In that case, my response applies to whoever marked your response as a solution when in fact it wasn't, atleast for me. ☮️✌️

Hi @pborah
The feature is still here :

but it works only with 1 line / measure.

if you need to calculate it manually please refer to the linked guides:

@Ritaf1983 Is there a way to get the analytics pane back? Because I haven't had it in mine since the updates beginning this year. I'm on May 2024 as well.
