Hi All,
Relatively straight forward question (or so I would have thought)...
I have numerous graphs where I want to display data for each interval, but only specify specific intervals on the axis itself.
For example: In the below visual screenclipped from PBI, I want all the hourly columns to remain, however the labels to only show every 2 hours. (12am, 2am, 4am.. etc..)
It is easy to do in excel, where there is the function to specify intervals .. For example below (not the same data as above, but what I want to be able to do in Power BI).
I have a graph that has data from 2015 to 2050, and I have each annual years data in the graph, but the labels themselves to repeat every 5 years, rather than having a crowded x-axis with dates annually. I can change this easily in excel by clicking right clicking the x-axis, selecting format axis, and under the label dropdown typing 5 into "specify interval units"
Is anyone aware of a function to do this in Power BI, or if there is a work-around to achieve this output.
Thanks!
Hi @Chris_1996 ,
As far as I know, currently customize the axis interval units could not supprt in power bi, but you can try to change the X-axis type as Continous instead of Categorical to meet part of your requirements:
In addition, here are some simliar ideas about this feature that you can vote for it to help us improve power bi and make this feature coming sooner:

Starting to look better with that idea...
Frustratingly, the start/end options for the scale only seems to allow date formatting, so you cant enter 12am start and 10pm finish for instance, to have 2 hr intervals, instead it auto goes to 3 hr intervals..
Hi @Chris_1996 ,
As I posted previously, it could not support in power bi currently. Although change the X-axis type can show part of times in axis, it could not be customized by ourselves.
You can vote for the above simliar ideas or create a new idea to help us improve power bi.

Hi Pranit,
I don't see any 'calendar visualisation' as options. There are a few that I can see you can import, but none of them look like they're column/bar charts. Can you screenclip which one you're thinking of?
Cheers.
