HAPPY NEW YEAR! This is going to be the last #powerbi #video of the year 2022, and it is also going to be the 150th video of the year, and also posting this video while I'm traveling, to be more specific from Frankfurt airport. Yes, I posted 1st video on Jan 01st, 2022, and somehow end up doing 150 videos in a year.
Coming to the video, this video is on calculation groups, my favorite subject. Calculation groups bring a lot of value and functionality to #powerbi. It helps to avoid measure proliferation, the repeated calculation can be applied to any measure and helps in many other areas. All in all, it is excellent functionality and makes things easier.
More power and flexibility come with a lot more responsibility. A lot of videos in the calculation groups playlist (link below) talk about pitfalls you can run into when you are using calculation groups in #powerbi reports.
This part 2 video is going to enhance the solution that I shared in the part 1 video on how the interaction between visuals on a page can lead to some challenges when you use calculation groups and how the same challenge will be solved using calculation groups. The link to the part 1 video is in the comments.
