Hi everybody, hope to find you all well.
I'm stuck in a situation that I need to know whether it is fixable or not, since I have a demo to present to one of our clients.
The framework is the following:
- First dashboard: date filter (Year, Month) and 4 areas represented by 4 buttons that direct to 4 pages with some KPI's in it.
- Second Dashboard: any of the 4 pages above, filtered by the date in the first dashboard. Every KPI is a value that has a drill through action
to the Third Dashboard.
- Third Dashboard: details of the indicator clicked in the second dashboard, all filtered by year and month selected in the first dashboard +
all the dimensions that lead to that indicator. if i click an element in the third dashboard i'll be led to the fourth, where the problem is.
Fourth Dashboard: static photo of last 12 months + YoY and MoM analysis. The problem is that when i drill through on this dashboard,
i'm taking with me the date filter of the first dashboard through all the drills occurred in second and third dashboard.
Obviously, this filters come into conflict with the meaning of the dashboard, since when i go into it with the action, i see details of the
indicator filtered by date, and not with the analysis that i took into account.
My question is: there's a way to make possible to hide the date filters that occurs with the drill through, while keeping all the other filters
active? I tried with deselecting Keep all filters option, but in that case i would take with me just one dimension filter that is not enough
for discriminating an indicator with respect to another one.
Thanks in advance

Teach your users how to click on the "X" when they reached the fourth report (NOT dashboard!!!).
Alternatively have a shadow copy of your data model that is not impacted by (some of) the drillthrough filters.
