Hi,
I have created a Power BI report using an SQL View, and the dataset is extensive, comprising around 100 million records. Users wish to filter the data based on their preferences when accessing the report in Power BI Service. Specifically, the search criteria include two columns: Ship Number and Sold Number. Users will input any relevant numbers to retrieve the desired data. Could someone please assist me in achieving this?
I tried using parameters but it didn't work. Please tell me to create user input parameters.
Thanks
Hi @JaipalAnu ,
It's hard for me to provide you with a detailed and precise solution just by words, please provide me with some sample data or a screenshot of the data model, thank you!
In addition, if you want to use parameter to achieve the filter, you need to create a relationship between the parameter and the table you need to be filtered after you create the parameter, or you can create a slicer, which can also achieve the function of the parameter.
Best Regards,
Dino Tao

Hi, Thanks for your reply!
I have created a view, it has transaction data and not able to load complete data into the power bi and it was taking very long time due to huge records, so we are planning is to load the data based on parameters.
Ex: Ship To Number field and Processed Date field is there in the report, user will select any SHip To Number on any dates then they will get that particular SHip To Number data on the dates they selected.
Can we achieve this in the power bi report, using import or direct query? If yes please provide me any sample report or any guidence.
Thanks
