How to create a measure to pull revenues in two categories from four months of data based on area

Hello all,

I started using Power BI a week ago so I am the newest of the noobs. Sorry about that! Thank you in advance for any help. Anwyay, I have imported a table of data into PBI and I need to pull the following information from it using a measure. I am very familiar with Excel and and I am familiar with Visual Basic and UI Path so I have somewhat of a leg up. Here is what I need to create, for starters:

For the table, when area (area is a column in the table) = 1, show all customers with revenue >1 and <20k for each month in the last four months – show customer and their revenue for each month

For the table, when area (area is a column in the table) = 1, show all customers with revenue 20k to <40k for each month in the last four months – show customer and their revenue for each month

Same for area 2-5 but you can skip doing the areas 2-5 as I can replicate area 1 to areas 2-5

Any ideas? Thanks again for any help

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Expand the filter pane and filter the measure with the criteria of <=20000.

Hope this helps.

Hello and thank you.

The first table shows the sample data.

Customer NameJun-23 Revenue
1ST DIBS$291,223.99
250W Fashion Group LLC$100,826.37
A.M.D$88,791.06
A.W. CHESTERTON CO.$79,877.04
ABB$705,957.93

Accelleron$1,933.40
ACCESS USA$694,992.79
Accuray$195,585.62

The second table shows what I am seeking - I know the data doesn't correlate - that's because the tabel is very large but you should get the idea I'm after - Thanks!

I just do not understand anything.  I see no relation between the question in your original post and your latest one.

That is because I have tried to simplify this as much as possible in the hope that someone will show me how to write a measure. Ignore the first post. I've got customer names and their revenues. I need a measure to show the customer names and revenues if below 20000

Expand the filter pane and filter the measure with the criteria of <=20000.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Share data in a format that can be pasted in an MS Excel file and show the expected result.
