Hi there,
I am creating a map in Power BI for my project and it needs to include US states and all territories. On top of that, I want to be able to see the states and territories at the same time (something similar to the screenshot attached). The built-in map in Power BI doesn't seem to have territories included and my guess is I would need to create a customized json file or find an existing one but I am having trouble finding one.

What would you suggest to create this type of map?
Thank you very much!
Emily
Hi @emilyhch
Here are some of the json files I can find that might fit your needs
If these resources do not meet your exact needs, you could consider editing or combining GeoJSON data using tools like geojson.io or GIS software such as QGIS. This would allow you to create a map visualization in Power BI that includes both US states and territories in the desired format.
Best Regards,
Jayleny

Hi @emilyhch
There are map files available from gadm.org which you can access. You may find the needed information there. However, some of these maps are overly detailed, causing significant rendering delays in Power BI.
