My suggestion is that you use Fields Parameters.
Take a look at this exmaple:
https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/fields-parameters-in-power-bi/
On your case you will choose year / month / day as parameters.

I agree with onurbmiguel_ , Field parameters revolutionized our life.
We can either use it with fields (columns) from tables or even measures.
