How to choose the default date on slicer as the latest report date as below image, so when the end user visits the dashboard they always see the data for latest report date.
Hi @cuongle,
There is no option to set default value for a Slicer currently. Some ideas about the issue have been submitted to Power BI team, you can vote this issue in the following link.
Default Selected Slicer or Tile-By Value Configuration
Best regards,
Yuliana Gu
Now, it's over one year, do we have any decent way for this problem?
I do not know of a way to set a default value like that with a slicer. You can set the slicer and save the report and that selection will stay, but not like what you are referring to. Only thing you could do would be to create an IsToday column and set a page or report filter but that's also not what you are looking for.
Thanks @Greg_Deckler for the idea, but this is not what I am looking for and also the report date is not actually today.
Is there any other altenative visual to represent the date filter?
