How to automatically refresh power bi report once sharepoint file updated in sharepoint

Good morning All.

Can anyone please guide me how i can import excel data available in sharepoint and after publishing report of power bi in service how it refresh automatically once data update in sheet available in sharepoint.

You don't need to do it in Power BI Desktop. Log in to -> https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/en-us/ and create the flow.

Thank You very much this is exactly what i am looking for, but this post not covered complete steps.

 

Could you please guide me for complete steps from loading data till scheduling refresh using powrer bi

@Faraz_Ahmad , Follow the below steps,

  1. Go to Power Automate portal -> Create -> Automated Cloud Flow
  2. Enter flow name and select 'When a file is created or modified in a folder' trigger as shown below

  3. Configure Site and Folder
  4. Add refresh Power BI dataset Step and configure the workspace and dataset

Thank you for your useful comments, but unfortunatelly still facing issue while doing establishing connection is saying successful, but when running the flow it is going unsuccessful.

 

Also can you pleas tell is it compulsory to drag some filed in to create power automate flow.

Are you creating the flow from Power BI Desktop?

Yes, i am trying to crate from POWER BI DESKTOP

Now dataset is getting refreshed is showing, refresh timing is getting updated, but the data insided the dataset is not updating.

In Excel i am modifying data, dataset is getting refreshed but the data in dataset is not same as excel, its showing old data only.
