How to adjust height of modern visual header

I have just started looking at the "new" (as of last April) modern visual header.

I can see that the sizing is made to exactly fit the text in the header

Our previous headers (separate text boxes) looked much better because we could size them to look good

Can I change the padding above and below the text in the header and make it bigger?

No. I am specifically looking at the header itself. Maybe a small thing but affects the look a lot.

Rough example of what we had before based on grouping a visual and a header:

 And what you get using the new (as of Apr 2022) header. Which is much easier to manipulate - but doesn;t look as good. How do I increase the height without increasing font size?
