Do you have dates in your table that you are filtering out but are getting picked up in your running total becasue of the ALL(table)?  Dates before 2015?
Try this:

RT Trade Volume =
VAR TopDate = MAX ( 'Table'[Trade Date] )
RETURN
CALCULATE(
    SUM ( 'Table'[Trade Volume] ),
    ALLSELECTED( 'Table' ),
    'Table'[Trade Date] <= TopDate
)

@jdbuchanan71 ,

No the Measure that you have created again splits for the Category Specified.

The Requirement is the Running Total Measure should only take Year into consideration. Any lower levels like Quarter, Month etc. shouldbe ignored for the Line values but the bar should split for the lower categorical values

Hi,

Share some data and show the expected result.
