Hi Power BI Community,
I'm trying to create a report that shows how many products customers ordered on each day of the week (Monday to Sunday) over the course of a year. My goal is to see if there are any patterns in customer orders during the week.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far: I have a Date Table in my model, defined as:
And I created a measure for distinct orders per customer like this
I have SalesEnquiry[Completed Date] with format "*Wednesday, 14 March 2001 (Long Date)"
But the measure isn’t working as expected.
Any advice, tips, or DAX examples would be really helpful!
Thanks in advance!

Hi @olwen_trg ,
From your DAX measure, I make an assumption that you are having a slicer for selecting the customer. In that case, a simple DAX formula like the one below should be enough to align your data in the matrix for the rows and columns specified in addition to the customer slicer.
DISTINCTCOUNT(SalesEnquiry[Product])
But however it is always good to share some sample data that can be used with your logic for a much faster response from the community
Thank you for your response, I have a measure:
but I don't know why, when I apply it to a matrix table with the Customer slicer, it doesn't work. I think the issue may be with my data format.
I'm so sorry, the dataset includes sensitive company info, so I’m unable to share it.
Hi @olwen_trg ,
I can understand that the data is sensitive.
Is there a way that you can share with us some dummy data that can mimic the issue that you are facing. That will enable us to help you better in this issue
Regards,
