How to Switch Between Multiple Full Tables (Different Structures) Using a Dropdown Slicer + One Butt

I have multiple tables on one page. Each table shows different stats and has a completely different column structure. For example:

· Most Runs → Player, Runs, Inns, Avg, SR

· Highest Score → Player, Score, BF, 4s, 6s, Venue, Date

· Best SR → Player, SR, Runs, BF

· Most Sixes → Player, Sixes, Runs, BF

· Partnership Runs → Partners, Runs, Wicket, Match

· Most Ducks → Player, Ducks, InnsW

What I Want:

A dropdown slicer (using a disconnected table) where the user selects a table name, and a single button next to it. When the user clicks the button, the correct table should appear — based on the slicer selection.

I want one button, not multiple buttons for each table.

What I Tried:

· Bookmarks work, but require multiple buttons

· Field parameters switch columns, not entire tables with different structures

· Conditional visibility (fx) is missing in my version (no Selection section for Table visuals)

· Dynamic bookmark using measure + button Action → Bookmark → fx is also missing

My Power BI Version:

· Release: February 2026

· Version: 2.151.1182.0

· fx button next to Bookmark is not visible

My Question:

Is it possible to achieve this in my current Power BI version? If yes, how? If not, what is the cleanest alternative to keep the design simple (one dropdown + one button)?

Thank you.

  • Hi muhammedswaliha ,

If you are refering to a table visualization then you should use field parameters with adittional classification column(s).

    • First start by creating your field parameters with all the data in the correct order you need
In my example the first 3 rows are for sales and the last ones are for cost
    • Add a new column to your code with the classification (rename column by double click header)

    • Create a table visual and add the parameter on values
    • Create the slicer and add category (value 4)

    • Change slicer to single select

If you need to have this on a Matrix where the lines are also dynamic you need to have a second parameter table burt be carefull because when you use field parameters in columns and rows at the same time in a matrix everything goes wrong, you can only use row / values or columns/values with field parameters.

You can even have more customization if you add an additional slicer with the parameter values so the user can select within each table the columns and order to see it:
