How to Sort Months Chronologically in the filter?

Hi

I have a start date column as below

I extracted month and Year in the Power Query and added as an "Add Column"

I have created a filter for "Year" and "Month" as below

I would like to get the month in the chronological order. I tried to use the Data tab and sorted the column by month but not successful. Please advise.

@Jason2500, In power Query you can also get date.month

Month No = Date.Month([Date])

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerquery-m/date-month

Or in Dax

Month No= Month([Date])

You can mark Month NO as sort column for month.

Or Refer this blog -https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-sort-by-column

@Jason2500 you need to use sort by column technique, basically, add another column to extract month number and then sort this month name column by month number column.

Check my post here and here I talk about sort by.
