How to Handle Multiple Bookmark Interactions for Different Visual Sections in Power BI?
I have a Power BI report where I’ve set up 5 buttons, each connected to different bookmarks. These buttons control two separate sections of the report:
1. The first 3 buttons toggle between a Pie Chart, Bar Chart, and Line Chart in one section.
2. The other 2 buttons toggle between a Bar Chart and Line Chart in a different section.
The issue I’m facing is that when I click one of the buttons for the first section (Pie, Bar, Line), it affects the second section (Bar, Line) and vice versa. This leads to an undesired reset of visual selections for each section when switching between them.
Is there a way to make these bookmark buttons interact independently so that clicking a button in one section doesn’t overwrite the visual selection in the other section? Ideally, I’d like to select one bookmark for each section and have them both active at the same time.
What’s the best way to achieve this in Power BI? Could combining bookmarks or using selection panes be a solution? Any guidance would be appreciated!
I identified the issue:
1. Switch from ‘All Visuals’ to ‘Selected Visuals.’
2. In the Visualization Panel, select the visuals impacted by the bookmark and hide the ones not needed. Once the desired behavior is set, update the bookmark.

I suggest using the Selected Visuals option in the bookmark to save the states of only selected visualizations.
I don't quite understand what you mean by sections. I think it would be easier to advise you if you sent/showed an example of how bookmarks work.

LinkedinHope this helps. The two sections consist of two grouped visualizations, and the buttons are at the top. Each button in each section must change the visualization below it without affecting the other group. Using the Selected Visuals option, I can’t achieve this because, by default, some visualizations overlap others. I haven’t found a way to automatically maintain the selections made by the user in each group. (the black numbers are the number of visuals that are within each group)

Hmm, if the term bookmarks are responsible for the visualizations on the left, and the Card bookmarks for those on the right, and additionally in the sections the visualizations are overlapped in the right way, then Selected Visual should be able to handle it without any problems.
Please send descriptions of situations that may occur or send a .pbix file with an example, then I can describe it in more detail.
