How to Create an Editable Table using Power BI

Hi folks,

I have to import/Load an Excel Table to Power BI, but after Loading the Excel file, I need to be able to enter brand new information into the table columns per line of information. For example, I can load the specific User's PC information and their organization, manager, etc, but to keep track of the status of the upgrading their systems, I need to have 3-4 additional fields that I can enter Status, Date and other information per upgrading the user's PCs.

I wasn't sure if it is doable in Power BI to publish a report or any other format that the end user can actually input information to some of the fields.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Hey @kamini ,

in general Power BI is an analytics tool. They are made to analyze big amounts of data, but not to write into a data source as this brings some complexity in real life.

Why don't you just add the information in Excel?

Otherwise you can include a Power App into the report with the Power App visual and from there you can write back to your data source.

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍
