How to Avoid auto-sorting in a clustered bar chart

Hi,

Whenever I bring in a Clustered bar chart, PBI puts a default sorting on the visual by the measure I have used.

Is there any way to avoid that ?

I got a hint that it could be possible using the capabilities.json file, but where do I get this file ?

Many thanks for your help !

Yes, it is possible to avoid the default sorting on a clustered bar chart in Power BI.

One way to achieve this is to disable the "Visual Interactions" feature. This will prevent the chart from sorting automatically when the user interacts with other visuals on the report page.

To disable "Visual Interactions," follow these steps:

    1. Click on the clustered bar chart to select it.
    2. Click on the "Format" tab in the Visualizations pane.
    3. Scroll down to the "Visual Interactions" section.
    4. Click the toggle switch to turn off "Visual Interactions."

Alright, after some research, I found the solution to this problem.

At the data level, if your column has a sorting applied which depends on another column, then in the viz, by default, PBI uses that sort order first. If you want to change this order, you can always apply a different sort order e.g.
