Hi Everyone.
I have asked to create a detailed documentation on the total assests we have within our Power BI Tenant. This should be based on individual Workspace and then each Workspaces-----> Apps -->dashboard---->Reports---->Measures and Calculated Columns
If I create this document in excel and tomorrow one of the developers changes any calculated column or measure How do I replicate that change here with this excel document
Is there a way to automate this using Logic Apps or Power Automate. I know about paid Power BI documentation tools to document your model. However, my requyirement is not documenting the power BI model instead create a detailed document showing all the assests ( Apps, Dashboards Reports,) possessed by BI department in our company.
The main area of my concern being how do we keep the changes done within Power BI model for eg, a new or exsiting measure or column added/modified by Power BI developer to reflect here. Manually managing this would be tedious and difficult.
Could you guys share your experience How do I achieve this (may be via Logic Apps or Power Automate)
In the web portal, right-click on the Power BI report and select Manage. In the left menu, select the Scheduled refresh tab. On the Scheduled refresh page, select New scheduled refresh plan. On the New Scheduled Refresh Plan page, enter a description and set a schedule for when you want your data model to be refreshed.

Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for your reply, I am not looking to schedule a data frefresh in Power BI Service neither am I trying to automate this via Power Automate.
My concern is explained below, which means If a create a word documents of all PBI assets we have in our organisation then How do I keep this document updated with changes made my Power BI developers.
Thats what I am trying to understand
hi @smjzahid
I would sugget you refer to power bi audit logs, see more details by these documents:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-auditing
https://radacad.com/build-your-own-power-bi-audit-log-usage-metrics-across-the-entire-tenant
By the way, for this case: one of the developers changes any calculated column or measure, the developer will do this only in the local power bi desktop, audit log won't record this operation, but only record he republish the report. So for this case, you have record it manually.
Regards,
Lin
