How do I make a slicer specifically for the secondary Y axis?

Hi,

I have set up an Area Chart. This chart has a Date column on the X axis, and the column Measurement on the Y Axis. I would like to have the same Measurement column on the secondary axis, and control each of the Y axises with a different slicer. The slicer is for the column Parameter. I have about 30 Parameter categories.

The table is structured in this way:

DateParameterMeasurement
01-01-2023CO25
01-01-2023NO210
02-01-2023CO24
02-01-2023NO211
.........

Right now it looks something like this:

Although, when I now select two different Parameters, nothing is shown.

I have figured it out. This is what I did:

  • Duplicated the measurements table
  • Use the 'new' measurement column as the secondary y-axis
  • Use the 'new' parameter column in the 2nd slicer
  • Create a table with only the dates in order to relate the two tables, based on the date

Your slicers are based on the same column.  If you select different values the intersect will be blank. It's as if you would say "I want that monochrome ball, and I want it to be blue and red at the same time"

Hi @lbendlin ,

Thank you for the reply. I understand that this will not work. I needed to somehow show what I would like to make. I have no idea how to do it. That's why I ask 😊.

I tried to make a copy of the Parameter column, and use that column for the 2nd slicer, but that also does not work.

Do you have any pointers in the right direction?
