How do I get rid of autofilling dates?

This is my first time working with an API, and I noticed it that date columns autofill the date to the day of the refresh.

There are status columns that show if certain steps are approved and not approved. If the status says approved there should be a date, but when it is not approved there shouldn't be a date. Even when a status is not approved, the date still fills out like the picture above. Is there a way to just leave these blank?

Power BI will not auto generate the data until it is instructed so you have to check it at the source or check your PQ steps.

Sorry for not being clear.

This screenshot shows two columns from the API I'm working with. The Corr.Status column is correct in that it is blank because the step has not been filled out, but the Corr.ApprovedDate for some reason is generating the current date even though it should be blank. It has not been filled out and should not be saying the current date.

I was thinking that PowerBI is autogenerating the current date for some reason, and was wondering if there was a way to switch it off so that the column just returned blanks if there was no approved date yet.
