Helper IIHow do I get my dates in order
Hello I created a matrix visual and have added my Month datat to columns. However my months show up in alphabetical order instead of monthly order. Anyone knows how this can be fixed? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply from HotChilli .
It's easy, just create an Index column in Power Query.
After clicking Close and Apply to return to Power BI Desktop, go to the Data view, select the Date column (which may be the Month column in your data), and then select Sort by Index column in the toolbar.

This is usually caused by the month names being a column (text datatype) in the Fact table. Powerbi doesn't know it's a month representing a date.

Solutions: use a separate date table
or create a Month dimension table with a column to order the text types (using Sort by Column)
or use inbuilt powerbi date features (this will need a date in the Fact table)
