How do I display a name in a string of text

Currenly I am facing this problem.

I have a list of sales names; Peter,John,Tom,**bleep**,Harry

When I click on Peter, I can see Peter individual sales in my visuals. But when I click the rest, it does not appear.

In excel, I will use =find or =search to filter them out one by one. But is there any syntax I need to write or is there a query I need to type in order for the rest of the names to display when I click them?

This is not really enough info to answer your question. What is the data model?  What tables do you have and what is the relationship between them?  What measures are you using?

I will not give you bad advice, even if you unknowingly ask for it.
