How may I remove this straight lines that are being plot where nan values exist

If you are open to custom visuals, you can experiment with https://pbivizedit.com/gallery/non-continuous-line-chart

You can modify the visual to suit your needs and then regenerate it.

A line chart is a series of data points that are represented by dots and connected by straight lines. Line charts emphasize the overall shape of an entire series of values, usually over time. Therefore it is not possible to delete the line automatically formed between two points.

Unfortunately, this is by design. Power BI is now unable to achieve what you need . You can submit an idea for it at https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums and wait for users with the same needs as you to vote for you to help make it happen as soon as possible.
