How Power IB works with Excel?

Also, it is not Power IB, it is Power BI.
Solution SagePower BI works well with Excel. Once you import the data from your Excel workbooks, rest of the development process is similar to other data sources.
I suggest you go through Import Excel workbooks into Power BI Desktop
