Hello all,
I am trying to build a hierarchy of 5 levels of management. Example below:
Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4 Level 5
Manager 1 Manager 2 Manager 3 Manager 4 Manager 5
Manager 1 Manager 2 Manager 2 Manager 2 Manager 5
Manager 1 Manager 2 Manager 3 Manager 3 Manager 5
In soem cases, each level has a different manager and in some cases the rollup does not include different managers like rows 2 and three. Is there a way I can build such hierarchy without showing the repeating managers in different levels?
I hope I have been clear enough but please let me know if more details are required.
Thank you,
Sassan
It's quite a strange scenario that one person can have different managers.
I think it's better to have Employee (child) and Manager(parent) columns to display a parent-child hierarchy. In your scenario, you have different level hierarchies, you may create one table for each "level hierarchy" category.
Regards,
