Hierarchies in same column?
Hello everyone, this is my first post and since im very new to PowerBI it might seem too simple but my problem is:
Im trying to create a matrix table where you can drill down from different categories, but my input has the hierarchies in the same column, for example
"Supply Chain Costs - Material", is composed by "Raw Material Costs", "Packaging Material Costs" and "Bought-in-products - Total"
and of course when im trying to plot this into a matrix in PowerBI it takes them all into the same level like this
which way is the best to achieve this? I have only one big table.
Please be as detailed as posible since im a new,
Thank you in advance :)

Hi Anonymous ,
Add the field into row field by level order will create hierarchy visual automatically
or we can create a hierarchy field by drag catagory level 2 to category level 1,it will create a hierarchy field contain two level, then drage the level 3 and level 4 into it, finallay we can use it to create the matrix.
BTW, pbix as attached.

Hi Anonymous ,
Do you mean the column use "-" or "," such as "A-B-C-D" "A-B-C-E" ?
If the column is in this format, it need to split it into different column to repersent for the hierarchies
