Hide column based on slicer selection

Hi All,

I have slicler with 2 values as ingestion and integration layer.When I select ingestion layer it should give me  total 4 columns and when I select the integration layer i need to get only 3 columns.Can we achive this in power bi.

select Ingestion layer in slicer:

LayerTable namecountStatus
ingestionEmployee800S
ingestionStudent600S

 

Select Integration layer in slicer:

LayerTable nameCount
integrationEmployee300
integrationStudent

whenever the user selects the integration layer the table should display only 3 columns, need to eliminate the status coulmn.How to achive this in power bi.

Based on your description, It is unsupported to use a slicer to display and hide fields in a visual. As a workaround, you may achieve your requirement with bookmarks and buttons. I created data to reproduce your scenario.

Table:

You may create two buttons and two bookmarks as below.

Then you need to make the button selected, go to 'Visualization' ribbon, check 'Action' on, set Type as 'Bookmark' and 'Bookmark' as the corresponding page. Finally you may Ctrl+click the button to go to the corresponding page.

You could achieve this using buttons with bookmarks and stacked visuals.

Now it looks impossible to change visual fields set with slicer in Power BI
