Hi all.
A fair amount of experience with BI tooling, but Power BI is new to me.
I have 4 tables of hierarchical data, with the lowest level given as a 'maturity' score. In that table there is a 'forecasted date' field for when that control will be in place.
I want the user to be able to input a date in the future and Power BI determine which controls will be in place by that point. There is already a scoring measuring in that table based on today's date. I need Power BI to update a measure based on the inputted date value, then use that measure in a chart.
Is that possible?
Thanks
@martynwb , Not very clear. But seem like you need an independent/disconnected date table

If this does not help
Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.
Thanks Amitchandak! The criticism is fair, I should have been clearer.
Basically, I have a number measure in my table that needs to be 1 after a certain date and 0 before it (the data table has about 1000 dates over the next two years). I need the value to be updated based on a date that the user inputs.
So if the user put today as the date (which should be the default), if the date field was tomorrow, the measure would stay as 0. However, if they select a date in two days time, the meaure would be updated to 1.
Thanks!
