Help with easy DAX formula

Hi ,

Sorry, this should be very easy but I am missing something here:

Abs Var Relieved = ABS(Sum('WIP Summary'[ Variances Relieved]))

I need the above DAX to sort in 'Ascending order', I do not want to use the sort on the visual.

Can I not just add ',asce' or would that not work?

Thanks

@craig811 , In visual you have sort using the option in visual.

Only for axis, you can have a default sort order. That too when you sort visual on axis.

Thanks, but I was hoping I could do it through DAX instead of the visual.

Hi @craig811

You can try RANKX function or TOPN function.

In addition, your DAX formula is for a measure or a calculated column? As you want it to be sorted, where do you want to see the sorting result? You could share some sample data and desired output then we can help create a DAX expression accordingly.
