Hello,
I'm hoping to just explain my users scenario and hopefully get some help on the best way to set this up in Power BI (plain English, not technical).
My users have a list of potential Leads (people), with Name, Email, Phone etc. They could have met these Leads through various channels: on google, at an event, a referral, etc. One person can have multiple channels. These people could then apply for jobs, one or multiple. The user is trying to determine which channel produces the most new job applicants. They would like total Lead count by Channel, plus total Application count by Channel. They would also like to view these numbers by month or a date slicer.
Issues
1. There is not a direct relationship between Lead Channel and Applications
2. The Applications table includes people found on Leads, plus many that do not (they just applied on their own).
3. Dates - When filtering on dates, they want to see all Leads they found within those dates (Lead Channel added date), plus all applications applied for within those dates (Job Applied Date). However, for a lead to be counted towards the application, it could have occured anytime within the last 24 months. So for example, the user may only pick Jan, Feb and March 2024 on the date slicer, and it will return all Applications applied for in that date range, but the Lead could have been foudn within the last 24 months.
Hi @aashton ,
Can you provide some graphical information and describe it. For example, how would like to visualize these counts and trends over time? Can you confirm that each lead and application record contains a unique identifier that can be used to link them?
Best Regards,
Adamk Kong
