Help needed

I have two sets of data and both have id columns. One set of id is distinct and the other is not. So theoretically if I link the two tables it should give me one is to many relationship in power bi. I tested both id columns in excel and the vlookup worked without any error. Upon linking the two columns, it shows many to many relationship. I have trimmed any white spaces and removed the blank rows. I couldn't figure out why power bi shows many to many  relationship? Help required pls 🙏 thanks

Hi @Kathir

Bring the ID from the unique table in the table visual
Bring the same ID into the table and choose data show as COUNT
Right-click on the ID (which you bring 1st time and select "Show Item with no data"
Check if there is any count of more than one. If more than one, that means items are respected. Also blank value
Correct your data

Let me know if that works for you

Hi Kathir,

Can you please share a sample pbix file? (If you don't know how, please check the pinned thread in the forum.) It would make debugging your issue easier. 🙂
